The San Francisco Giants look to continue their playoff drive when the Arizona Diamondbacks visit on Friday.

The Arizona Diamondbacks had dreams of reaching .500 but that doesn’t seem likely with their play of late. The Diamondbacks have lost four of five after a 4-3 loss to San Diego on Wednesday. Starter Robbie Ray was charged with all four runs on six hits and three free passes over 4.2 frames to drop his record to 4-12. The Snakes managed eight hits and walked twice with Jarrod Saltalammachia slamming a solo jack while Chris Owings singled in two runs. The Diamondbacks open the series at San Francisco with Rubby De La Rosa on the hill. De La Rosa is coming off of a 9-5 loss to the Dodgers where he allowed six runs on nine hits in two frames.

San Francisco Giants vs. Arizona Diamondbacks - 9/18/15 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The San Francisco Giants have been chasing the Dodgers for supremacy in the National League West and have been doing their part with wins in seven of ten after knocking off Cincinnati 5-3 Wednesday. Starter Jake Peavy improved to 7-6 with a pair of runs plated on seven hits through six innings with five relievers finishing the job. The offense came through with 12 hits and four walks with Peavy going solo while Ehire Adrianza went 2-4 and knocked in two runs. Ace Madison Bumgarner is slated to be on the mound with the Diamondbacks in town Friday. Bumgarner was at his best in an 8-0 win versus San Diego last time out with a complete game one hitter.

The over is 8-1-1 in San Francisco’s last 10 Friday games while the Giants  are 21-6 in their last 27 home games while going  30-12 in Bumgarner’s last 42 starts. San Francisco are 7-2 in Bumgarner’s last 9 starts versus Arizona. It’s tough to go against Bumgarner and a hot Giants squad right now…
