For Wednesday’s game the padres start Andrew Cashner who has allowed 189 hits and 82 earned runs while striking out 152 over 173.2 innings for a 6-15 record and a 4.25 ERA.

The San Francisco Giants haven’t been eliminated from the post-season yet and they helped their cause on Tuesday beating the Padres. Angel Pagan hit a home run and Alejando De Aza and Brandon Crawford each had two hits as the Giants scored four runs on eight hits. Starting pitcher Chris Heston allowed two hits and struck out seven over 4.1 innings to not get a decision as George Kontos got the win and Santiago Casilla earned his 35th save. For Wednesday’s game the Giants start Jake Peavy who has allowed 88 hits and 42 earned runs while striking out 68 over 92.2 innings for a 7-6 record and a 4.08 ERA.
