The Minnesota Twins are still fighting for the postseason which means they need to win. The Twins won game one of their DH at Cleveland but dropped game two 10-2 to see a four game winning streak end. Starter Mike Pelfrey gave up four runs over 1.2 frames with Ricky Nolasco allowing three. The offense could not keep pace with five hits and four walks with Miguel Sano and Eddie Rosario accounting for the scoring with solo homers. Rookie Tyler Duffey is looking to continue his success when he opposes the Indians for the second time. Duffey comes off of a 6-2 win at Detroit where he gave up two runs on eight hits in six frames.

The Cleveland Indians aren’t going to the playoffs but have a real opportunity at a winning record. The Indians have been playing well and would like to continue through the end of the year for some momentum heading in to next season. The Tribe were dominant in game two of their twin bill with starter Cody Anderson tossing a two hit shutout through seven innings to up his record to 7-3. Francisco Lindor homered and drove in two while scoring twice with Jose Ramirez leaving the yard for four RBI’s and two runs. Trevor Bauer toes the rubber for the last time in 2015 against Minnesota on Thursday night. Bauer was hit hard in a 9-2 defeat versus Detroit with six runs plated in three innings.
