The Kansas City Royals hope to steal one on the road when they face the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park Sunday.
The Kansas City Royals were staring at a 4-2 deficit early in game two of their ALDS with visiting Houston before coming back for a 5-4 victory to knot the series at a game apiece. Starter Johnny Cueto has not been consistent since coming over from Cincinnati and that trend continued with all four runs given up on seven hits and a trio of free passes through seven innings. KC did their damage on eleven hits and three walks with Salvador Perez leaving the yard and knocking in two while Eric Hosmer drove in a run and scored. Kansas City puts their hopes on the right arm of Edinson Volquez for game three at Houston on Sunday. Volquez has appeared in 34 games (33 starts) and is 13-9 with a 3.55 ERA.

The Houston Astros appeared to be heading for another win at Kauffman Field before the Royals offense came to life to send the series back home even at 1-1. Starter Scott Kazmir had an uneven game with three runs plated on five hits over 5.1 frames with Oliver Perez allowing the tying run before Will Harris gave up a run to absorb the loss. The Stros mounted an eight hit, four walk attack with Colby Rasmus going deep and driving in two while George Springer knocked in two and also scoring The Astros are slated to send ace and Wild Card hero Dallas Keuchel to the mound in game three versus visiting Kansas City. Keuchel has gone an amazing 15-0 at home with a 1.46 ERA.
I don’t think we can count Kansas City out here but Keuchel has been very good overall and even better at home. The Astros bats have been dangerous as well so we definitely can’t look past this team either. No line is out yet but for the time being I will be backing a dangerous Astros squad at home…
