The Philadelphia Phillies are still looking for win number one and a trip to Citi Field to take on the New York Mets is probably not the easiest place to go looking for that first W.
The Philly's hand the ball to Vincent Velasquez who arrived in Philly in a swap deal for Ken Giles. Velasquez fastball sits around 95mph and he has impressive stuff that is going to eb tough to hit if he can keep the control issues he has battled behind him. Ryan Howard and Maikal Frainco should be in the line up again on Saturday after Frainco sat Friday after being hit by a ball on Thursday. The Phillies are in the midst of a rebuild but have put some nice pieces together in the line up Cesar Hernadez, Freddy Galvis and the aformentioned Frainco are going to be the cornerstones of this franchise for the future. The Philly's stayed in game one against the Mets until they New york team blew it open in the seventh with four runs. While this is a team that is going to lose more than they win i think they are slightly better than their current 0-4 record suggests.

The New York Mets are looking to get back to the World Series and the Mets pitching staff looks just as capable of getting them there this year as they were last. Bartolo Colon will look to get a win that would tie him with HOFer Pedro martinez at 219. Colon has been excellent over the last 4 years and last season he went 4-1 against the Philly's with an ERA of 2.81. David Wright is due to sit on Saturday and wil be missed in a Mets line up that has been ok but not all that impressive. Yoenis Cespedes is the key to this Mets team's offence when he hits well in general the mets win. With Lucas Duda, Granderson and Cespedes there is power and pace here that can cause problems for any team and probably should be too much for this Phillies side.
The Philly's are 1-6 in their last 7, the Under is 6-1 in the Philly's last seven.
The Mets have gone 36-17 in their last 53 home games, Mets are 1-7 in their last 8 against the National League East. The Unders are 4-0 in the Mets last 4 against the NL East.
The Phillies are going to lose alot of games this year but they played well against the Mets on Friday and I expect another tough game here for the Mets. Velasquez is untested and time will tell how this trade is going to work out but I think that Velasquez and Colon can keep the bats quiet enough for us to score the under here.
