The Toronto Blue Jays built a big lead and then watched their pitching give it all away. Starter Marcus Stroman was ineffective with five runs allowed on six hits and three bases on balls with Jesse Chavez and Drew Storen allowing a combined three runs. The Blue Jays offense carried their share of the load on nine hits and five free passes led by a Josh Donaldson grand slam. Darwin Barney and Kevin Pillar each drove in runs and combined for three runs. Knuckleballer RA Dickey makes his second start of the year when he opposes the Red Sox Saturday. Dickey won his first outing 6-3 versus Tampa Bay with all three runs scored on six hits and two BB in five frames.
The over is 5-1-3 in Toronto last 9 home games and Toronto are 45-20 in their last 65 home games while the Blue Jays are 31-15 in their last 46 games on astroturf. Boston are 6-2 in the last 8 meetings in Toronto and the under is 7-3-1 in the last 11 meetings in Toronto. If I played this I’d be on the over or Toronto but bullpens are pathetic…
