The San Francisco Giants hope to continue their hot start when they travel to Coors Field to face the Colorado Rockies.
The San Francisco Giants spotted the Dodgers a 5-0 first inning lead before roaring back for a 9-6 victory on Sunday. Starter Johnny Cueto survived an awful first inning and allowed all six runs on ten hits and a pair of BB over seven frames to up his record to 2-0. The Giants offense launched a 12 hit, three walk attack that saw Brandon Belt homer and drive in three with Angel Pagan and Buster Posey going solo and scoring two times apiece. Joe Panik drove in two and scored while Hunter Pence knocked in a run and scored twice. Jeff Samardzija toes the rubber Tuesday against the Rockies who he sees for the first time since 2013. Samatdzija did not get a decision in a 4-3 loss at Milwaukee with three runs plated on eight hits and three BB over 5.1 frames.

The Colorado Rockies evened their record at 3-3 and snapped a two game skid with a 6-3 victory versus visiting San Diego on Sunday. The offensive minded Rockies received a great performance on the mound as well from Chad Bettis who was charged with a pair of runs (one earned) on six hits through seven innings to go 1-0. The Rockies totaled nine hits and walked four times with the long ball leading the way with Carlos Gonzalez going deep twice while Trevor Story, Ryan Rayburn and Nolan Arenado cracked solo bombs. Tyler Chatwood draws his second start of the young season when he opposes rival San Francisco Tuesday. Chatwood comes off of a 4-3 win at Arizona where he gave up two runs (one earned) on seven hits over 6.1 innings.
The over is 6-2 in San Francisco last 8 road games. The under is 6-2 in Colorado last 8 Tuesday games and the over is 6-2 in their last 8 games following a win. The over is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings. The Giants are looking tough to me…
