The Colorado Rockies and Chicago Cubs clash in game two of their series Saturday afternoon at Wrigley Field.
The Colorado Rockies look to remain hot after winning four of their last five games. The Rockies continue to rely on their offense that's produced six or more runs in five of their last seven games. The Colorado Rockies have now scored 27 runs in their last three games and have won 11 of their last 14 games when scoring more than three runs. Carlos Gonzalez leads Colorado with 16 hits, Nolan Arenado has 14 RBI and Trevor Story has seven home runs. Christian Bergman gets the ball, and he’s 0-1 with a 12.00 ERA and two strikeouts this season. This will be Bergman’s second career game against the Cubs.

The Chicago Cubs look for a bounce back win after getting off to a sweet 8-2 start to the season. The Cubs pitching has led the way during this start, as they’ve allowed three or less runs in six of their last seven games. In the first 10 games, the Chicago Cubs have allowed more than three runs just twice, and they’ve won 15 of their last 16 regular season games when allowing three or less runs. Offensively, Dexter Fowler leads Chicago with 14 hits, Anthony Rizzo has 10 RBI and Kris Bryant has two home runs. Jake Arrieta takes the hill, and he’s 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA and 12 strikeouts this season. Arrieta is 1-1 with a 7.50 ERA and 10 strikeouts in his career against the Rockies.
The Rockies are 15-36 in their last 51 during game 2 of a series and 2-8 in their last 10 Saturday games. The Cubs are 7-1 in their last 8 vs. National League West and 40-16 in Arrietas last 56 starts. The Rockies are 16-35 in the last 51 meetings in Chicago and 1-4 in the last 5 meetings overall.
Taking the Rockies for the upset win may be worth the value given the insane price. I know Arrieta is great and all but my goodness that price is insane. Regardless, I'm going to side with the Cubs by two runs, as it's tough to bet against the best pitcher in baseball with the way he's pitching.
