The San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers finish off their hectic series in LA on a busy Sunday in the MLB.
The Giants look to take the series on the road against their bitter rivals as they evened the score last night thanks to a stellar effort from Johnny Cueto and now they will send Jeff Samardzija to the bump as he will take on Kenta Maeda. San Fran moved to 6-5 on the year with the victory yesterday and while they still trail the Dodgers in the division it is a step forward after losing on Friday night in what was another marquee effort from Clayton Kershaw who continues to dominate everything in front of him. The Giants are a modest 4-17 in their last 21 road games against a team with a winning record but are 5-1 in their last six games on a Sunday and while the Giants have the more experienced starter on the mound the Dodgers are the favourites as Maeda has been excellent to start the year.

The Dodgers got a huge win on Friday in the showdown between Kershaw and Madison Bumgarner but Johnny Cueto got the visitors back in the win column last night setting up the rubber match on Sunday. The Dodgers have a very solid roster and always seem to welcome in a handful of difference making talent every year as now Joc Pederson and Corey Seager are joined by Kenta Maeda who looks the part of a staff ace and will be out to show it in this one. This should be a great game on Sunday Night Baseball and while the Giants may have the deeper roster I think the Dodgers get it done at home behind another great outing from Maeda.
