The Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves begin a three-game series Tuesday at Turner Field.
The Los Angeles Dodgers look for another win after winning five of their last eight games. The Dodgers pitching staff continues to get it done, allowing three or less runs in nine of their first 14 games. The Los Angeles Dodgers have a team ERA of 3.10 and have won 13 of their last 14 regular season games when allowing three or less runs. Offensively, Adrian Gonzalez leads Los Angeles with 16 hits, Enrique Hernandez has eight RBI and Yasiel Puig has one home run. Alex Wood gets the ball, and he’s 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA and six strikeouts this season. This will be Wood’s first career game against the Braves.

The Atlanta Braves look to keep rolling after sweeping the Miami Marlins. The Braves have scored 18 runs in their last three games but just 24 runs in their first nine games of the season. The Atlanta Braves hope that the sweep over Miami carries over to this series as they still search for their first home victory of 2016. Offensively, Nick Markakis leads Atlanta with 15 hits, Adonis Garcia has five RBI and Freddie Freeman has one home run. Julio Teheran takes the hill, and he’s 0-2 with a 6.35 ERA and 14 strikeouts this season. Teheran is 0-4 with a 6.38 ERA and 27 strikeouts in his career against the Dodgers.
I don't trust the Braves at all, as they were expected to be one of the worst teams in the league this season. A sweep over a below-average Marlins team doesn't do much for me. The Dodgers are head and shoulders the better team, and Wood is comfortable at Turner Field considering he spent many years pitching for the Braves.
Look for the former Braves to get the job done.
