The New York Mets look to make a move in the National League East with a win at the Atlanta Braves on Saturday.
The New York Mets haven’t looked like the team that went to the World Series last season but they did Friday in a 6-3 victory at Atlanta. A bonus was Mets starter Matt Harvey looked more like himself with two runs plated on seven hits over five frames with five relievers finishing the job. The New York offense did their damage on ten hits and three walks with Curtis Granderson going 3-5 with a homer, five RBI’s and a pair of runs as he was a one man wrecking crew. The New York Mets hand the ball to Steven Matz for his third start of 2016. Matz threw one of the best games of his career in a 6-0 win at Cleveland with a three hitter over seven innings.

The Atlanta Braves have been struggling in the early going and the struggles continued Friday with neither the arms or bats able to come through against visiting New York. Bud Norris gave the Braves four innings with five runs plated on five hits and a pair of BB including two long balls. The Bravos offense had opportunities on a ten hit, three walk attack but 12 strike outs hurt them. Adonis Garcia had three hits with an RBI and a run while AJ Pierzynski going 3-5 with a run. The Atlanta Braves counter wit Jhoulys Chacin on the bump who faces the Mets for the first time since 2014. Chacin did not receive a decision in a 6-5 win at Miami with three runs plated on four hits in 5.1 frames.
The over is 36-15-1 in the Mets last 52 road games and the Mets are 35-16 in their last 51 road games. Atlanta are 1-7 in their last 8 home games and are 3-11 in their last 14 Saturday games while the over is 20-7 in their last 27 Saturday games. The over is 6-3 in the last 11 meetings in Atlanta. I’ll ride the Mets once again Saturday who should be able to score some runs…
