The Chicago White Sox look to reverse their fortunes versus the Kansas City Royals Saturday.
The Chicago White Sox have faded over the past several weeks but are still clinging to first in the American League Central. The White Sox struggles continued Friday in a 7-5 defeat at Kauffman Stadium for their 8th loss in eleven contests. CWS starter Miguel Gonzales threw the ball well with three runs given up on eight hits and nine K’s over 6.1 frames before three relievers combined to allow four runs. Chicago mustered eight hits and walked once with Melky Cabrera smacking a grand slam while Todd Frazier went solo. Left hander Carlos Rodon has been named the game two starter for the White Sox. Rodon comes off a 3-2 win versus the Royals with both runs scored on eight hits and two BB over 6.2 innings.

The Kansas City Royals have been slowly regaining their form from a season ago. The surging Royals big rally Friday gave the team wins in eight of eleven with KC overcoming a poor outing from Danny Duffy. Duffy was charged with all five runs on five hits including a pair of homers through 5.1 innings for a no decision while four relievers put up zeros. KC amassed 13 hits with Eric Hosmer leading the way with three hits including a homer and four RBI’s while Whit Merrifield went 2-4 with a run and a pair of runs driven in. Yordano Ventura gets the ball Saturday in a rematch of his last outing versus the White Sox. Ventura dropped a 3-2 decision with all three runs given up on six hits and four BB in six frames.
The over is 8-1-1 in the White Sox last 10 road games and the under is 7-2 in their last 9 overall while going 7-2 in their last 9 on grass. Kansas City are 7-3 in their last 10 overall and are 7-3 in their last 10 games on grass while going 48-23 in their last 71 home games. I’m not going to do anything more then go with the hot team…
