The Los Angeles Dodgers look for another dominating effort on Wednesday night at Wrigley as they face off against the Chicago Cubs.
The Dodgers had one of their best wins of the season yesterday as they limited the mighty Cubs offense to just a single hit and dealt Chicago their first loss in which Jake Arrieta started in ages which included a ninth inning three run shot by Corey Seager. Los Angeles has been on a tear of late and have been winning against some very solid teams as they had their way with the Mets in New York and now are off to a good start against the Cubs at Wrigley and with Mike Bolsinger expected to get the call on Wednesday they will be out for another strong outing. However, the Dodgers have to deal with Jon Lester who has been very good to start this season and while he has had a decently high WHIP he has been able to keep the earned runs down and is piling up wins for the North Siders.

The Cubs meanwhile will look to get back in the win column after a dreadful outing at the plate yesterday and with Lester getting the nod he is their best option next to Jake Arrieta who had another strong outing spoiled by the seemingly inconsistent Cubs bullpen. Chicago is still a very impressive 35-14 this season and are 17-7 at home while the Dodgers are 14-13 on the road and 27-25 overall with a 6-4 mark in their last 10. Bolsinger is 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA while Lester is 5-3 with a 2.48 mark but is expected to lead the Cubs to victory here according to the oddsmakers.
Los Angeles is 6-2 in their last eight overall, 1-4 in Bolsinger’s last five starts, and 14-5 in their last 19 against the NL Central while the Cubs are 43-16 in their last 59 home games, 47-19 in their last 66 overall, and 5-2 in Lester’s last seven starts. This is shaping up to be a great series and while the Cubs were quiet yesterday you can’t keep them down for long in a game in which they rebound in a big way.
