The Baltimore Orioles clash with the New York Yankees in game two of their series at Camden Yards.
The New York Yankees are hoping their offense comes around so they can climb the AL East standings. Unfortunately the Yankees offense did come through but the arms struggled Friday in a 6-5 defat at Baltimore to saddle the team with losses in four of five. Yanks starter Nathan Eovaldi was charged with five runs over 5.1 frames with Dellin Betances gave up a run in the 7th to absorb the loss. The Bronx Bombers mustered ten hits and walked twice with Carlos Beltran, Austin Romine and Alex Rodriguez going deep. The Yankees go with Ivan Nova on the mound in the second game of their series at Camden Yards. Nova has struggled the last two times out with eight runs scored on 15 hits over 12.2 innings.

The Baltimore Orioles have dropped to second in the American League East but are right in the hut for first. The Orioles took a step towards a hot streak Friday with win number three in a row as they rallied from a 5-2 deficit. O’s starter Chris Tillman was charged with all five runs on eight hits including three homers through 5.2 innings for a no decision while three relievers contained the New York bats. The Birds pounded out eleven hits and walked once with Chris Davis going deep and scoring twice with Matt Weiters knocking in two while Mark Trumbo went 3-4 with two runs. Tyler Wilson toes the rubber for the second time this season against the Yankees. Wilson comes off a 7-2 loss to the Red Sox with three runs allowed on eight hits and a pair of BB in 6.2 frames.
The Yankees are 7-2 in their last 9 games on grass and the under is 10-4 in Nova’s last 14 Saturday starts while New York are 4-9 in Nova’s last 13 starts. The over is 6-2-1 in Baltimore’s last 9 home games and is 6-2 in their last 8 Saturday games while the Orioles are 24-10 in their last 34 home games. New York are 1-7 in the last 8 meetings and are 8-22 in the last 30 meetings in Baltimore. I’m leaning on the Baltimore offense in this one…
