The Baltimore Orioles conclude their visit to the Rogers Centre and the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Baltimore Orioles are sitting atop the American League East but they know their stay won’t last long unless they avoid skids of any length. The Orioles took one on the chin Saturday in an 11-6 defeat at Toronto for back to back losses. O’s starter Mike Wright gave up five runs over five frames with TJ McFarland charged with five runs before Brian Duensing gave up two runs. The Birds attack consisted of 12 hits and two BB with Manny Machado, Chris Davis and Joey Rickard going deep. The Orioles end their series in Toronto with Ubaldo Jimenez on the bump. Jimenez comes off a 9-1 win versus Kansas City with the lone run plated on nine hits and three BB over five innings.

The Toronto Blue Jays hot streak of two weeks ago is gone and they need to get that momentum back. The Blue Jays are trying to begin another hot streak and might be on their way with consecutive wins after Saturday’s one sided affair. Jays starter JA Happ gave up four runs on eight hits including three long balls through seven innings to up his record to 7-3. Toronto pounded out 13 hits and walked eight times with Michael Saunders going deep and driving in two while Edwin Encarnacion homered twice and knocked in five while scoring two times. Toronto end their series with visiting Baltimore with Aaron Sanchez who faces the Orioles for the second time. Sanchez comes off a 3-2 loss at Detroit with two runs scored in eight frames while whiffing 12.
The under is 7-1-1 in Toronto’s last 9 Sunday games and is 8-3-1 in their last 12 overall while the Blue Jays are 8-3 in their last 11 Sunday games. Baltimore are 22-51 in the last 73 meetings in Toronto. I’m going with Toronto because I have no clue what Jimenez will do…
