The Line: Kansas City Royals +125 / Cleveland Indians -135 --- Over/Under: 7.5 See the Latest Odds
The Kansas City Royals look to build on their victory at home yesterday as they continue their AL Central battle with the Cleveland Indians.
The Indians look for some retribution after taking a 3-2 loss last night and they will send one of the league’s bets to the mound to get it as Corey Kluber gets the call for the Tribe on Wednesday. Cleveland has had an impressive start to the season as they are 35-28 and are leaving the Royals in their dust at the moment but they will have to contend with the Tigers, White Sox, and the defending champs the rest of the way if they’re going to sneak into the playoffs this season. Kluber will look to improve his mark to 7-6 and bring down his 3.65 ERA as he matches up with Ian Kennedy who is 4-5 with a 4.06 ERA as he looks to fill the void left by Johnny Cueto.

The Royals meanwhile are just three games above the .500 mark and have looked very bad since losing Mike Moustakas and while there is plenty of baseball left to be played and they possess a very deep team they are in trouble right now and need to play out of their funk. Kansas City lost some pretty valuable pieces from last year’s World Series team as both Ben Zobrist and Cueto left for greener pastures and now without Moustakas they could be in trouble, especially if they can’t get their rotation sorted.
Cleveland is 5-1 in their last six games after losing the first two outings of a series, 4-1 in Kluber’s last five starts, and 8-3 in their last 11 Wednesday games while the Royals are 4-0 in their last four against the AL Central, 8-1 in their last nine following a win, and 56-23 in their last 79 home games. This has been a tough series for the Tribe but with Kluber going today I think they claw back and grab one with a win tonight.
