The San Francisco Giants look to leave Florida with a win versus the Tampa Bay Rays.
The San Francisco Giants just seem to keep rolling with their big offense and pitching both contributing. The roll has reached seven games after the Giants scored a 6-4 victory at Tropicana Field on Saturday. SF starter Albert Suarez wasn’t good with three solo homers allowed over 4.2 frames but four relievers put up zeros before Cory Gearin gave up a run in the 9th. San Francisco totaled eleven hits and walked twice with Joe Panik going deep and driving in four while Matt Duffy went solo. San Francisco is scheduled to start Jake Peavy in the final game of the series on Sunday. Peavy has been hot with a 2-1 record in his last three with a 0.72 WHIP and 2.00 ERA.

The Tampa Bay Rays were red hot and need to stay that way to be a challenger in the American League East. The Rays late inning relief pitching failed them and with that they were saddled with three consecutive defeats. B starter Matt Moore was outstanding with a pair of runs plated on six hits through six innings but Erasmo Ramirez gave up an 8th inning run and Alex Colome surrendered a three run jack in the 9th to fall to 1-2. Tampa Bay clubbed four long balls with Brad Miller, Evan Longoria, Logan Forsythe and Logan Morrison going deep. Jake OdorIzzi toes the rubber for the first time in his career against San Francisco. Over his last three outings, Odorizzi has gone 1-0 with a 1.68 WHIP and 5.40 ERA while the Rays have won all three starts.
San Francisco are 2-6 in their last 8 games on astroturf and are 16-6 in their last 22 road games while the under is 12-5-1 in their last 18 road games. The under is 6-2 in Tampa Bay’s last 8 on astroturf and is 6-2 in their last 8 home games while the Rays are 9-4 in their last 13 overall. I’m leaning San Francisco although Peavy isn’t ideal…
