The Atlanta Braves continue their visit to south Florida with the Miami Marlins.
The Atlanta Braves are easily playing their best baseball but how long it continues is anybody’s guess. The Braves season high winning streak has reached six games after a 3-2, ten inning victory at Miami on Tuesday night. Bravos starter Bud Norris allowed two runs on seven hits over 5.1 frames while five relievers kept the Marlins off the scoreboard. Atlanta managed five hits and three walks with Jace Peterson going 2-3 with a homer and all three runs driven in. The Braves send Matt Wisler to the hill at Miami in search of back to back victories. Wisler comes off a 7-2 win versus Cincinnati with both runs plated on eight hits and two BB over 6.2 innings.

The Miami Marlins have been playing well and their reward has been moving past the Mets in to second in the National League East. The Marlins had won five of seven to move in to second in the division but never found the groove at the plate in Tuesday’s defeat. Fish starter Jose Fernandez was outstanding with a one hitter through seven scoreless innings with Kyle Barraclough allowing a 12th inning run to take the loss. Miami totaled eight hits and walked five times with Adeiny Hechavarria and Fernandez driving in runs with Justin Bour and Derek Dietrich scored. Adam Conley takes the hill against the Braves for the second time in this season. Conley comes off of a 5-1 win versus visiting Colorado on one hit and five BB in 5.2 frames.
Atlanta are 20-50 in their last 70 road games and are 37-77 in their last 114 overall while going 37-77 in their last 114 games on grass. The under is 8-2 in Miami’s last 10 Wednesday games. The over is 16-4-1 in the last 21 meetings and the Braves are 36-15 in the last 51 meetings in Miami. It seems backing Atlanta is unnatural…
