The San Diego Padres look for another road win in Ohio as they continue their series against the Cincinnati Reds on Friday.
The Padres look to build on their impressive 7-4 victory over the Reds last night as they continue their series on Friday night and will look for a strong outing on the mound from Colin Rea who is matched up against Cody Reed. The Padres don’t have a ton of weapons at the plate but they did break out for seven runs last night and got another good outing from Christian Friedrich who did more than enough to get San Diego the victory as they look to play their way back into the mix in the NL West. San Diego currently sits with a disappointing 30-43 record but the Reds haven’t fared much better and with the Friars basically packing it in already it is as if they are playing with house money as any victory moving forward would be considered a bonus.

The Reds meanwhile were anticipating a little more production this season than where they currently stand but with a couple of big time pieces finding new homes in the offseason it should come as no surprise that they sit with such a paltry record at 28-44. Cincy will be playing in plenty of baseball games that hit the over as they have a ton of guys who can hit the ball out of the park but they don’t have a very good rotation and that has been their Achilles heel this season as they don’t have a reliable pitching option that can take over a game.
San Diego is 7-3 in their last 10 against a lefty, 0-4 during their last four game two’s of a series, and 4-0 in Rea’s last four starts during a game two while the Reds are 3-5 in their last seven overall, 6-15 in their last 21 Friday games and 1-4 in their last five against a team with a losing record. San Diego isn’t great but the Reds are a mess right now and with the value being on the road team I will side with them once again.
