The Arizona Diamondbacks look to build on their 7-6 win over the Colorado Rockies last night as the teams meet up at Coors Field again on Friday.
The D-Backs look to get their bats rolling once again on Friday night as they managed to hang seven runs on the Rockies last night and with Coors continuing to offer up one of the most hitter friendly environments in the bigs they should be able to get it going again here. Arizona has had a tough go this season as they lost one of their best players to a season ending injury before the year started as AJ Pollock won’t be back until 2017 and with their pitching acquisitions struggling as both Zack Greinke and Shelby Miller have had their struggles it has all added up to a tough start for the Snakes. Arizona will look to play their way back into the NL West but with the San Francisco Giants running away with it right now they may be best to shift their attention to the NL Wild card spots and even that may be over ambitious.

The Rockies head into Friday nights encounter looking for just their 16th home victory of the season and with the home field advantage they possess it has to be considered a disappointment they have a losing record at Coors especially with how much pop they have at the plate. Colorado has a scary lineup led by Trevor Story, Carlos Gonzalez, and Nolan Arenado which keeps them in ball games until the final out is recorded but with their starting rotation being what it is they certainly don’t get a ton of help in that regard and ae often playing from behind.
Arizona is 6-1 in their last seven road games, 5-1 in their last six overall, and 4-0 in their last four against a team with a losing record while the Rockies are 1-4 in their last five Friday games, 4-1 in their last five home games, and 5-1 in their last six against a righty. Colorado is too powerful to be losing this many games and I think they get one back here against Archie Bradley who has been shaky this season.
