The Cleveland Indians hope to stay on a roll when they visit the Toronto Blue Jays Friday.

The Cleveland Indians are the hottest team in baseball but have to be on guard against letting down as they are not close to locking anything up. The Indians haven’t tasted defeat in weeks and they didn’t Thursday in a 4-1 win at Toronto. Tribe starter Carlos Carrasco picked up the win with a homer accounting for the lone run over 7.1 frames while he stuck out a season high 14. The Indians did their damage on ten hits and a walk with Rajai Davis going deep and scoring twice while Jason Kipnis went solo. Josh Tomlin shoots for back to back wins when he matches up with the Blue Jays for the first time since 2011. Tomlin comes off of a 9-3 win at Detroit with all three runs allowed on three solo homers over eight innings.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Cleveland Indians - 7/1/16 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Toronto Blue Jays are trying to get hot heading in to the break and then make a second half run. The Blue Jays winning streak winning streak ended at two games following Thursday’s defeat where the bats were never able to get going. Jays starter RA Dickey absorbed the loss with three runs allowed on eight hits including two homers through seven innings. Toronto was held to three hits and a trio of bases on balls with Josh Donaldson’s long ball accounting for the scoring. Toronto opens the series on the mound with Marcus Stroman who has never faced the Indians. Stroman is coming off of a 5-2 defeat at the White Sox with four runs given up on seven hits and four BB in six frames.

Cleveland are 19-7 in their last 26 Friday games and  are 7-3 in their last 10 games on astroturf while going  37-18 in their last 55 overall. Toronto are 8-1 in their last 9 Friday games and  are 8-3 in their last 11 games on astroturf while going  8-3 in their last 11 home games. The hottest team in the game?
