The Colorado Rockies hope to take a step towards .500 with a road win versus the Atlanta Braves in Saturday action.
The Colorado Rockies drive to reach .500 has been sidetracked the past few weeks and the team obviously wants to get back in a groove. The Rockies got back on track Friday in an 11- win at Atlanta. Colorado starter Jorge De La Rosa gave up two runs on eight hits and three BB over six frames. The Rockies pounded out ten hits and walked six times with Ryan Raburn smacking a grand slam while DL LaMahieu, Nolan Arenado and Carlos Gonzalez each driving in runs and scoring six times. Chad Bettis shoots for back to back wins when he faces the Braves for the first time this year. Bettis defeated Philadelphia 11-2 last time out with both runs given up on seven hits over 6.2 innings.

The Atlanta Braves record tells us all we need to know with the bad times outnumbering the good. The Braves had won three of four before nothing went favorably in Friday’s defeat to visiting Colorado. Bravos starter Lucas Harrell was charged with seven runs (five earned) on seven hits and three BB through 3.2 innings to absorb the loss. Atlanta managed nine hits and four walks with Jeff Fran Coeur and Brandon Snyder driving in runs while Freddie Freeman and Ender Inciarte scored. Mike Foltynewicz looks for his second consecutive victory when he faces the Rockies for the second time in his career. Foltynewicz picked up a 2-0 win at the White Sox last time out with seven scoreless frames.

Atlanta are 22-49 in their last 71 home games and are 8-17 in their last 25 Saturday games while the under is 6-2-2 in Foltynewicz’s last 10 on grass. Colorado are 8-1 in the last 9 meetings and are 14-37 in the last 51 meetings in Atlanta. When Colorado is hitting they are tough to go against…
