The Baltimore Orioles look to extend their lead in the East with a win at Tampa Bay.
It seems that everytime the Baltimore Orioles face adversity they respond with wins. The Orioles rallied past Tampa Bay Friday by a 4-3 count with starter Yovani Gallardo allowing all three runs on eight hits and four BB over five frames with four relievers putting up zeros. The O’s managed seven hits and a walk with Pedro Alverez going deep and driving in two while Jonathan Schoop went solo. Chris Tillman toes the rubber versus the Rays on Saturday for the 4th time on the season. Tillman comes off of a 4-2 win versus the Angels with a run given up on three hits and five BB over seven innings.

I think the question for the Tampa Bay Rays is whether they make a few trades or stand pat. The Rays couldn’t get their offense going Friday night and in the end they were staring at defeats in ten of eleven. TB starter Chris Archer absorbed the loss with all four runs on seven hits including two homers through 7.1 innings. Tampa Bay totaled nine hits and seven walks with Luke Maile, Logan Forsythe and Steven Souza Jr. driving in runs. Tampa Bay hands the ball to left hander Matt Moore who opposes Baltimore for the third time in 2016. Moore looks to bounce back from a 4-1 loss at Boston with all four runs allowed (two earned) on seven hits and three BB in six frames
Baltimore are 2-6 in their last 8 games on astroturf and the over is 10-4 in their last 14 overall while the under is 9-3-1 in Tillman’s last 13 Saturday starts. Tampa Bay are 1-7 in their last 8 games on astroturf and are 1-7 in their last 8 home games while the under is 6-2-1 in the Rays last 9 overall. The under is 6-2-1 in the last 9 meetings. I just hate to go against Tillman who finds a way to win…
