The Baltimore Orioles end their series at Tropicana Field against the Tampa Bay Rays.
The Baltimore Orioles have heated up with their pitching leading the way which has kept them atop the American League East. The surging Orioles have won six of seven after squeezing by Tampa Bay 2-1 Saturday behind great work on the mound. O’s starter Chris Tillman upped his record to 13-2 with the lone run allowed on four hits and three BB over seven frames. The Birds mustered seven hits and two walks with JJ Hardy clubbing a two run bomb in the second. The Orioles send reliever Dylan Bundy to the mound for his first career start Sunday. Bundy has appeared 22 times in relief with a 2-1 record and 3.08 ERA over 38 innings.

The Tampa Bay Rays have been struggling at the plate and the wins have been hard to come by. The Rays offense failed them Saturday and in the process a strong effort on the mound went for naught. TB starter Matt Moore fell to 5-7 with five hits allowed including a two run jack through 7.1 innings. Tapa Bay was limited to four hits and three bases on balls with Steven Souza Jr. knocking in Logan Morrison with their only run in the 4th. Tampa Bay turns to Jake Odorizzi who faces the Orioles for the third time this season. Odorizzi comes off a 4-0 loss at Boston with all four runs plated on six hits in five frames.
The over is 9-2 in Baltimore’s last 11 Sunday games and is 7-3 in their last 10 road games. Tampa Bay are 3-13 in their last 16 games on astroturf and are 3-13 in their last 16 home games while the Rays are 15-36 in their last 51 overall. The under is 7-2-1 in their last 10 meetings. My problem is not knowing how long Bundy will last so take this with a grain of salt…
