The Minnesota Twins continue their series at Fenway Park versus the Boston Red Sox Saturday.
The Minnesota Twins are looking to be respectable going forward and regroup for 2017. The Twins surprised the Red Sox 2-1 Friday proving that good pitching beats good hitting. Minnesota starter Kyle Gibson improved to 3-6 with a run plated on two hits (home run) over eight frames. The Twins posted ten hits and a pair of BB with Brian Dozier going 3-3 with a solo homer while Miguel Sano went 3-4 and tripled in Joe Mauer. Minnesota hands the ball to a red hot Ricky Nolasco who sees the Red Sox for the first time in 2016. Nolasco took a 1-0 loss at Detroit last time out with a solo homer allowed over six innings.

The Boston Red Sox have been the hottest team in the American League East which has lifted them to the division lead. The surging Red Sox had won nine of ten but their offense was stuck in the mud Friday which wasted a great effort on the mound. Boston starter Eduardo Rodrigues gave up both runs on six hits through 5.1 innings to fall to 2-4. The Red Sox were held to just four hits and a base on balls with the only run scoring when Mookie Betts connected on his 20th long ball. Left hander David Price draws Saturday’s start against Minnesota who he last saw in 2015. Price comes off a 3-1 loss at the Yankees with all three runs scoring on eleven hits in 5.2 frames.
The over is 6-1-1 in Minnesota’s last 8 Saturday games and the over is 34-15-3 in their last 52 overall while going 34-15-3 in their last 52 on grass. Boston are 9-1 in their last 10 overall and are 9-1 in their last 10 games on grass while the under is 6-2 in their last 8 overall. The Twins are 2-6in the last 8 meetings in Boston. Boston hopefully bounces back but Price is nothing special.
