We’ve got series-ending MLB action coming our way on Wednesday from Oriole Park, as the Colorado Rockies meet the Baltimore Orioles once again.

This will be game three of the matchup. In Monday’s opener, the Orioles eked out a 3-2 win. On Tuesday, the Rockies managed a 6-3 victory.

Baltimore Orioles vs. Colorado Rockies - 7/27/16 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Taking the hill for the Rockies on Wednesday will be right-hander Jon Gray. In his 17 starts and 6-4 record this season, Gray holds a 4.12 ERA with a 1.16 WHIP in 102.2 innings overall. IN a win against the Braves his last time up, Gray put up seven innings of one-earned ball on six hits.

Helping out at the plate, we’ve got an interesting cast of Colorado characters. Carlos Gonzalez leads the pack with 119 hits, 66 runs, 20 homers and 62 RBI. Nolan Arenado has put up 111 hits with 69 runs, 26 homers and 78 RBI. Trevor Story is knocking on the door with 97 hits, 27 home runs, 71 RBI and 65 runs.

RHP Dylan Bundy will be getting the call for the Orioles on Wednesday. In his 24 appearances (two starts) and 3-2 record, Bundy owns a 3.30 ERA with a 1.53 WHIP in 46.1 total innings. Buddy put up a win in his last start, giving up five hits and one earned through five innings.

Giving some help out at the plate, the Orioles have a solid core group on their hands. Manny Machado leads all hitters with 119 hits, 67 runs, 20 homers and 56 RBI. Jonathan Schoop has put up 110 hits with 54 runs, 17 homers and 58 RBI for his part. As for Mark Trumbo, he’s got 108 hits with 57 runs, 30 homers and 73 RBI on the year. Schoop and Trumbo combined to go 0-for-8 on Tuesday, though.

The Rockies are 11-27 in their last 38 Wednesday games, and 2-5 in their last seven game threes of a series. Colorado is also 2-5 in Gray’s last seven starts in game three of a series, and 0-4 in Gray’s last four road starts.

As for the Orioles, they’re 10-4 in their last 14 game threes of a series, and 5-2 in their last seven Wednesday games. Baltimore is also 38-18 in their last 56 interleague home games, and 42-15 in their last 57 home games.

I like Bundy to give the Orioles just enough life to get things covered here, but it should be a pretty close game.
