The Los Angeles Dodgers travel to Coors Field to face the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have hung around in the National League West and are now giving San Francisco a run for their money. The Dodgers crushed the Diamondbacks 14-3 Sunday where they could do no wrong. It was pitcher by committee with seven hurlers seeing action for Los Angeles who amassed 17 hits and three walks to make it easy for the pitching staff. Corey Seager, Joc Pedersen and Yasmani Grandal each went deep and combined for eight RBI’s and six runs with Yasiel Puig knocking in two and scoring twice. The Dodgers hand the ball to Brandon McCarthy for his 6th start of the season Tuesday. McCarthy comes off of a 3-1 loss at Tampa Bay where he gave up all three runs on four hits over four innings.

The Colorado Rockies are one of the hottest teams in the game with wins in eight of ten which has other playoff contenders watching. The Rockies come off a rare 6-4 defeat at the Mets Sunday as they blew a late lead. Colorado starter Chad Bettis gave up three runs through six innings before Boone Logan surrendered a three run jack in the 7th to blow the save and take the loss. The Rockies totaled eight hits and walked four times with Carlos Gonzalez and Daniel Descalso knocking in two runs apiece while David Dahl scored twice. Jon Gray toes the rubber for the third time against the Dodgers this season. Gray will be shooting for his third consecutive victory after allowing two runs in a pair of seven inning victories.
The Dodgers are 11-1 in their last 12 Tuesday games. Colorado are 7-1 in their last 8 games following a loss and the under is 6-2 in their last 8 overall while going 6-2 in their last 8 on grass. I’m going with the red hot Rockies squad…
