The St. Louis Cardinals continue their series at Great American Ball Park versus the Cincinnati Reds Wednesday.
The St. Louis Cardinals don’t appear to have the firepower to catch the Cubs in the National League Central so they have to focus on the Wild Card. The Cardinals took a step back in a 7-5 defeat at Cincinnati Tuesday for their third loss in a row. Cards starter Adam Wainwright gave up two runs over five frames with Seung Hwan Oh blowing the save and getting the loss with three runs plated. The Redbirds totaled ten hits and three BB with Brandon Moss, Tommy Phan, Adam Wainwright and Jedd Gyorko each going deep. Michael Wacha is scheduled to oppose Cincinnati for the second time in 2016 on Wednesday. On the season Wacha has gone 6-7 in 21 starts with a 1.40 WHIP and 4.38 ERA.
