The Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Indians end their series at Progressive Field on Wednesday.
The Minnesota Twins have finally figured things out and are probably wondering why it took so long. The Twins blasted Cleveland for the second straight day by a 10-6 count for their 5th win in six contests. Minnesota starter Kyle Gibson allowed all six runs on ten hits including ten hits over 4.2 frames while the pen shut down the Indians offense. The Twins pounded out 14 hits and walked four times with Brian Dozier, Max Kepler and Eduardo Escobar each going deep and combining for seven RBI’s. Minnesota ends the series at Progressive Field with Tyler Duffey on the mound. Duffey has struggled the past three times out with an 0-2 record and a 2.80 WHIP and 13.50 ERA.

The Cleveland Indians are the team to beat in the American League Central and control their own fate. The Indians have now lost back to back contests with their struggles against Minnesota continuing. The Tribe had big issues on the mound with starter Carlos Carrasco giving up eight runs on nine hits including a pair of long balls through 3.2 innings. Cleveland amassed 13 hits and walked three times with Mike Napoli and Carlos Santana leaving the yard and driving in a pair of runs apiece while Francisco Lindor driving in a run and scoring. Trevor Bauer will be on the hill to face Minnesota for the third time this season. Bauer comes off a 5-3 win versus Oakland where he gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits in 5.1 frames.
The over is 10-3-1 in Minnesota’s last 14 Wednesday games and the Twinsare 5-12 in their last 17 Wednesday games while the over is 59-28-6 in their last 93 overall. Cleveland are 18-6 in their last 24 home games and the under is 6-2-1 in their last 9 overall while going 6-2-1 in their last 9 on grass. The over is 11-3 in the last 14 meetings in Cleveland and Minnesota are 13-6 in the last 19 meetings. I’m at a loss in this match up so perhaps over…
