The Los Angeles Angels and Cleveland Indians meet up in Ohio on Thursday as both sides look to shake off a loss on Wednesday.
The Angels look to shake off a tough loss at Wrigley last night as they continue their road trip to Cleveland, Ohio to match up with the Indians who are in the midst of an AL Central division pennant chase. The Halos have had a tough season and things continued yesterday in what was a tough game for Mike Trout at the plate as he fell victim to some questionable calls from the umpires, but nonetheless it was another loss for them which is becoming an alarming trend for the AL West dwellers. The Angels will look to Jhoulys Chacin in this one as he has the unenviable task of going pitch for pitch with Corey Kluber who is back to his Cy Young form and is in a position to challenge for the honour once again this season.

The Indians have been one of the best teams in the American League all season and should challenge for a spot in the World Series this year as they have a pretty solid lineup but a very strong rotation that rivals any in baseball. Cleveland has the luxury of being able to throw the three headed monster of Kluber, Danny Salazar, and Carlos Carrasco at teams and with a lineup that can mash as well they are a very well balanced group that should be able to compete with the best in the league. Kluber is 11-8 with a 3.40 ERA this season and he will look to improve on those numbers here against Chacin who is 3-7 with a 5.27 ERA.
The Angels are 0-6 in their last six overall, 0-6 in their last six road games, and 1-5 in Chacin’s last six starts while the Indians are 4-0 in Kluber’s last four home starts, 1-5 in their last six against a righty, and 18-6 in their last 24 Thursday games. The odds are in Cleveland’s favour here and the only way to go is on the run line which they should hit easily.
