The Minnesota Twins visit Turner Field to face the Atlanta Braves in interleague action on Tuesday.
The Minnesota Twins were hot but have cooled off dramatically with defeats in five of six. The Twins were hammered 11-4 by visiting Kansas City with their pitching getting hit hard. Minnesota starter Hector Santiago was charged with seven runs on nine hits over four frames before Michael Tonkin gave up three unearned runs without recording an out. The Twins did their damage on six hits and a pair od free passes with Brian Dozier going solo while Eduardo Escobar drove in two runs. Minnesota hands the ball to Ervin Santana who is shooting for his third straight win. Santana comes off a 6-2 win at Tampa Bay with both runs plated on six hits over 6.1 innings.

The Atlanta Braves were winning some games with four straight victories before losing four of five following a 9-1 loss at Washington. Braves starter Tyrell Jenkins was hit hard with seven runs plated on six hits and three BB over 4.2 innings to fall to 2-3. The Bravos bats were held to five hits and three bases on balls with Erick Aybar driving in Ender Inciate with the only run in the third inning while three players recorded all five hits. Rookie Joel De La Cruz is scheduled to make his 5th start of the season when Minnesota visits Tuesday. Overall, De La Cruz is 0-5 with a 1.39 WHIP and 4.09 ERA in 33 frames.
The over is 18-5-3 in Minnesota’s last 26 interleague games and is 12-4 in their last 16 Tuesday games while going 51-21-3 in in the Twins last 75 overall. The under is 9-2 in Atlanta’s last 11 Tuesday games and are 6-2 in their last 8 games following a loss while the Braves are 7-20 in their last 27 interleague games. Santana is hot and I know more about him, otherwise flip a coin….
