The Milwaukee Brewers square in game one of their doubleheader at the Chicago Cubs Tuesday.

The Milwaukee Brewers had a shot at reaching .500 but not anymore as the team can’t string wins together. The Brewers enter game one of a twin win  bill off a 7-3 versus Cincinnati on Sunday behind strong pitching and hitting. Brew Crew starter Wily Peralta improved to 5-8 with a run allowed over six frames. Milwaukee totaled eight hits and five walks with Ryan Braun carrying the offense with a pair of homers, six RBI’s and three runs. Milwaukee sends Matt Garza to the hill to face the Cubs in game one of their doubleheader. Garza has been hot the last three times out with a 3-0 record with a  2.60 ERA

Milwaukee Brewers vs. Chicago Cubs Game One - 8/16/16 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Chicago Cubs were white hot before the bats and arms couldn’t keep up in back to back losses to visiting St. Louis capped off by a 6-4 defeat on Sunday Night Baseball. Cubs starter John Lackey gave up an unearned run through 6.2 innings before Hector Rondon gave up four runs on a pair of long/ balls to absorb the loss. The Cubbies did their damage on eight hits and two bases on balls with Anthony Rizzo leading the way with three hits, a homer and three RBI’s. Chicago is slated to start Trevor Cahill in the opener of a twin bill versus the Brewers who he has never seen. Cahill has appeared in relief 33 times and is 1-3 with a 3.07 ERA

Milwaukee are 8-20 in their last 28 road games and are are 2-7 in Garza’s last 9 Tuesday starts. The under is 16-5-1 in the Cubs last 22 Tuesday games and Chicago  are 6-2 in their last 8 games following a loss while the under is 29-11-1 in their last 41 home games. The Brewers  are 1-7 in the last 8 meetings in Chicago and  are 9-24 in the last 33 meetings. Big odds here and I don’t love this at all…
