Baltimore Orioles vs. Houston Astros - 8/18/16 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Baltimore Orioles have dropped to second in the American League East so the obvious goal is to get back in first. The Orioles can’t afford to lose but that’s what happened in a rain shortened 8-1 defeat the hands of the visiting Red Sox on Thursday. O’s starter Dylan Bundy fell to 6-4 with five runs given up on nine hits through 4.2 innings before Tyler Wilson allowing three runs. The Birds were held to four hits with Chris Davis hitting his 25th homer. Kevin Gausman toes the rubber for his second start versus the Astros on Thursday. Gausman comes off a 6-2 loss at San Francisco with two runs given up on two hits and six BB in four frames.

Houston are 3-10 in their last 13 Thursday games and the under is 6-2 in their last 8 Thursday games. The under is 22-5 in Baltimore’s last 27 on grass and  is 26-7 in their last 33 overall while going  19-7 in their last 26 home games. Houston are 3-12 in the last 15 meetings in Baltimore and the under is 15-5-1 in the last 21 meetings. Gausman pitches better at home and Musgrave is a mystery so perhaps the under…
