The Philadelphia Phillies are making a last ditch attempt to reach .500 as he season begins to get shorter. The Phillies took another step in the wrong direction with back to back defeats as nothing went right. Phils starter Jake Thompson was charged with five runs on five hits and four BB through five innings to fall to 1-2. Philadelphia managed eleven hits and three walks but still struggled to score with Tommy Joseph going deep while Fredddy Galvis drove in Maikel Franco. The Phillies have scheduled Jered Eichoff to oppose the Dodgers for the first time in his career on Thursday. Eickhoff comes off a 6-3 win versus Colorado with all three runs scoring on ten hits in 5.2 frames.
The over is 7-1 in the Dodgers last 8 overall and is 7-1 in their last 8 on grass while going 8-3 in their last 11 road games. The over is 17-5 in Philadelphia’s last 22 overall and is 17-5 in their last 22 on grass while the under is 14-6 in Eickhoff’s last 20 starts overall. The Phillies can’t score to save their lives sometimes and I’m not betting them…
