The Colorado Rockies are still trying to reach .500 although they have hurt themselves with defeats in seven of ten. The Rockies are coming off of a 12-10 win versus Washington which was all about scoring. Rockies starter Jon Gray was charged with four runs on six hits through four frames but five of six relievers allowed runs.. Colorado pounded out 12 hits and walked five times with Tony Wolters going 3-4 with a homer, two RBI’s and two runs while Gerardo Parra knocked in four. Every starter knocked in a run, scored or did both. Tyler Anderson toes the rubber for the first time in his career against the surging Cubs. Anderson comes off of a 6-3 loss at Philadelphia with four runs given up on two hits and two BB in three frames.
The Cubs are 20-6 in their last 26 overall and are 20-6 in their last 26 games on grass while the over is 6-2 in their last 8 Friday games. The under is 10-3-1 in Colorado’s last 14 Friday games and the Rockies are 3-8 in their last 11 overall while going 3-8 in their last 11 Friday games. The over is 15-6 in the last 21 meetings in Colorado and Chicago are 6-14 in the last 20 meetings in Colorado. I think this is a game the Rockies could steal if you have the guts to go against the Cubs…
