The Baltimore Orioles visit the Nation’s Capital for interleague action with the Washington Nationals.
The Baltimore Orioles have gone from leading the American League East to third in a week’s time and can’t afford a skid of any length. The Orioles are staying in the race after throttling Washington 8-1 for their 6th win in eight contests. O’s starter Kevin Gausman improved to 5-10 with six scoreless frames and the offense made sure that effort wasn’t wasted. The Birds pounded out 13 hits and walked four times wit Chris Davis going solo and scoring twice while Matt Wieters knocked in a pair and scored. Left hander Wade Miley gets the ball against the Nationals for the first time since 2015. Miley has struggled the past two times out with 13 runs scoring on 14 hits over six innings.

The Washington Nationals are motoring towards the National League East crown unless the totally collapse. The Nationals have to be on their guard as they did nothing at Baltimore on Tuesday night and have dropped three in a row. Nats starter Reynaldo Lopez was charged with six runs (four earned) on seven hits and three BB through 2.2 innings. Washington totaled ten hits and walked twice with Danny Espinosa driving in Ryan Zimmerman. The Nationals send Tanner Roark to the mound to oppose the Orioles for the first time since last season. Roark has had a strong year thus far with a 13-6 record in 25 starts with a 2.87 ERA.
The under is 24-9 in Baltimore’s last 33 on grass and the Orioles are 16-6 in their last 22 interleague games while the under is 28-11 in their last 39 overall. Washington are 6-2 in their last 8 interleague home games and are 51-23 in their last 74 Wednesday games while going 14-3 in Roark’s last 17 starts. I think is Washington is going to win one this is it…
