The Chicago White Sox and the Detroit Tigers duke it out at U.S. Cellular Field on Tuesday.

The Detroit Tigers probably aren’t going to win the American League Central but a Wild Card is staring them in the face. The Tigers stayed on track for the Wild Card with a 5-3, eleven inning win at the White Sox. Detroit starter Justin Verlander gave up two runs over seven frames with the pen taking care of business. The Tigers totaled nine hits and walked three times with Miguel Cabrera going 4-5 with a homer, two RBI’s and two runs while Justin Upton smashed a three run jack to win it. The Tigers are slated to start Matt Boyd against the White Sox on Tuesday. On the season Boyd has gone 5-2 in 14 starts with a 1.26 WHIP and 4.00 ERA covering 78.2 innings.

Chicago White Sox vs. Detroit Tigers - 9/6/16 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Chicago White Sox are still gunning for a winning record although the end of the season is getting closer. The White Sox moved further away from their goal with Monday’s extra inning defeat. Chicago ace Chris Sale was outstanding with a pair of runs allowed through eight innings before Chris Beck surrendered a three run jack in the 11th. The CWS pounded out ten hits and walked twice with Alex Avilia going solo while Avisail Garcia went 3-5 with an RBI and run. Miguel Gonzalez comes off the disabled list to oppose the Tigers for the second time on the year. Overall, Gonzalez has built a 2-6 record in 18 starts with a 1.33 WHIP and 4.05 ERA.

Detroit are 7-1 in their last 8 road games and the over is 19-7-2 in their last 28 Tuesday games while the Tigers are 11-5 in their last 16 Tuesday games. The White Sox are 6-2 in their last 8 home games. The hotter team is how I’m looking at this…
