The Kansas City Royals look to keep their postseason hopes alive when they visit the Chicago White Sox.
If the Kansas City Royals are going to make a return to the postseason they need to string the wins together. The Royals saw a two game winning streak end in a 6-5 defeat at Minnesota Wednesday where a 4-2 lead went by the wayside. KC totaled eleven hits and five walks with Drew Butera went solo while Kendrys Morales went 3-4 with a homer, two RBI’s and two runs with two players knocking in runs and scoring. Yordano Ventura takes the hill at the White Sox for his 4th match up with them in 2016. Ventura defeated Detroit last time out 5-2 with a run given up over six innings of work.

The Chicago White Sox have been trying to reach .500 and have been heading that way but can’t afford another losing streak. The White Sox have won three of four after downing the Tigers 7-4 on Wednesday. CWS starter Jose Quintana was charged with all four runs on eight hits through 6.2 innings but did not get a decision. Chicago banged out 13 hits and walked three times with Melky Cabrera driving in two runs while four others recorded an RBI and scored. Left hander Carlos Rodon is scheduled to oppose the Royals for the 4th time this season. Rodon comes off of an 11-4 win at Minnesota with four runs allowed (three earned) in seven frames.
The over is 10-1-1 in Kansas City’s last 12 overall and is 10-1-1 in their last 12 on grass while the Royals are 7-2 in their last 9 games following a loss. The White Sox are 2-8 in their last 10 Friday games and are 7-3 in Rodon’s last 10 Friday starts. Kansas City are 35-16 in the last 51 meetings and are 36-17 in the last 53 meetings in Chicago. I’ll lean Chicago because you can’t predict Ventura…
