The Atlanta Braves were red hot but suddenly went cold at the Nationals. The cold streak continued following Friday’s defeat where the bullpen faltered and the Braves couldn’t keep up at the plate. Bravos starter Julio Teheran continued his dominance of the Mets with a pair of runs plated on four hits and a pair of free passes before Mauricio Cabrera gave up three runs in 1/3 of an inning. Atlanta pounded out eleven hits and walked five times with Matt Kemp going solo while Nick Markakis knocked in two runs. Julio Teheran toes the rubber Saturday against the Mets for the third time in 2016. Teheran defeated Philadelphia 2-0 on the road last time out with six scoreless innings.
The over is 10-3 in the Mets last 13 road games. The over is 7-0-1 in Atlanta’s last 8 home games and is 20-5-1 in their last 26 overall while going 20-5-1 in their last 26 on grass. New York are 9-2 in the last 11 meetings in Atlanta and the under is 9-3 in Teheran’s last 12 versus the Mets. Neither team has settled on a pitcher but I lean the hotter squad…
