The Baltimore Orioles lock horns at the Detroit Tigers Saturday with the Wild Card up for grabs.
The Baltimore Orioles have their sights set on the American League East crown as well as the Wild Card. The Orioles have dropped back to back contests after a 4-3 defeat at Detroit on Friday. O’s starter Kevin Gausman gave up three runs on seven hits and a pair of BB over six frames. The Birds were held to five hits and a free pass with Jonathan Schoop cracking a two run bomb while Adam Jones drove in a run and scored. Ubaldo Jimenez shoots for his third straight win when he opposes the Tigers for the second time this year. Jimenez comes off of a complete game 7-3 victory at Tampa Bay.

Detroit starter Michael Fulmer was solid with a pair of runs allowed on three hits and two BB through seven innings. The Tigers mustered nine hits and three walks with Victor Martinez going solo while JD Martinez went 3-3 with two RBI’s and a run. The Tigers hand the ball to Jordan Zimmermann for his second start since coming off the disabled list. Zimmermann struggled in his first outing in a 6-3 loss to the White Sox with all six runs scoring in 1.2 frames.
