The Texas Rangers continue their pursuit at top spot in the American League as they face off against the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday.
The Rangers got another strong outing from their bats on Saturday night and they will look to add to it on Sunday as they send Colby Lewis to the hill to face off against Jered Weaver with the visitors getting a pretty decent price. Texas has been the class of the division all season long and one of the best teams in baseball since April and with the motivation from last year’s ALDS exit and a revamped roster that now includes Carlos Beltran and Jonathan Lucroy, the Rangers are certainly in the running for the World Series.

The Angels head into this one looking to spoil the party for their visitors and division rivals and even though the Halos have had a tough season they have some pieces in place to do some damage on any given night. Mike Trout and Albert Pujols are both having a very strong season statistically and they can mash against any pitcher in baseball and that includes Colby Lewis who is having a nice season but has also been blasted in recent memory. Weaver meanwhile is 10-11 with a woeful 5.37 ERA and with so many big bats in the lineup for the Rangers I think they will have a field day here.
The Rangers are 7-0 in Lewis’ last seven starts against the AL West, 7-1 in his last eight overall, and 4-1 in his last five against a team with a losing record while the Angels are 5-1 during game three of a series, 4-1 in their last five at home, and 5-1 in his last six Sunday starts. Texas is the better team and getting them at this price is a must have on your ticket.
