The Oakland Athletics are one of many teams who are trying to figure out a lineup for 2017. Things went south for the Athletics in all phases Saturday, especially on the mound. A’s starter Kendall Graveman fell to 10-10with eight runs scoring on 12 hits and three BB through five innings before JB Wejndelken allowed five runs in one inning. Oakland could not keep up on their nine hit, two walk attack that saw Ron Healy go 3-4 with a pair of RBI’s and two runs. Rookie Raul Alcantara makes his second career start when the Mariners visit Sunday. Alcantara lost his debut 10-7 with five runs plated on five hits in three frames.
The over is 9-2 in Seattle’s last 11 overall and is 9-2 in their last 11 on grass while Seattle are 2-6 in their last 8 Sunday games. Oakland are 3-9 in their last 12 Sunday games and the under is 23-8 in Oakland’s last 31 overall while going 23-8 in their last 31 on grass. Seattle are 19-7 in the last 26 meetings in Oakland.
