The Miami Marlins lock horns with the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field in Wednesday action.
The Miami Marlins aren’t going anywhere this season but are trying to finish the year with a winning record. The Marlins had lost seven of ten before outscoring the Braves 7-5. Maprlins starter Jake Esch gave up three runs on seven hits over 3.2 frames with Austin Brice allowing two more but four relievers put up zeros. The Fish produced ten hits and walked four times with Christian Yelich driving in two and scoring while Ichiro Suzuki and Marcell Ozuna drove in runs and scored three times between them. Ace Jose Fernandez toes the rubber against the Braves for the third time this year on Wednesday. Fernandez defeated the Dodgers 4-1 last time out with 14K’s over seven scoreless innings.

The Atlanta offense could not keep up on nine hits and three walks with Freddie Freeman smashing a three run homer while Matt Kemp went solo. The send Julio Teheran to the hill for his third start of the season against the Marlins. Teheran did not get a decision in a 6-4 loss to the Mets last time out with two runs scored in six frames.
Miami are 4-12 in their last 16 overall and are 4-12 in their last 16 games on grass while the under is 19-7 in their last 26 Wednesday games. The over is 12-3-1 in Atlanta’s last 16 home games and is 23-6-1 in their last 30 overall while going 23-6-1 in their last 30 on grass. The over is 20-7-1 in the last 28 meetings and Miami are 4-9 in the last 13 meetings. I guess an ace is supposed to win these games so…
