A’s starter Kendall Graveman gave up four runs on seven hits over 5.1 frames before Ryan Madsen gave up two in the 9th to get the loss. Oakland posted ten hits and walked three times with Khris Davis slamming a two run jack while Brett Eibner going deep and driving in four. The Athletics send rookie Raul Alcantara to the hill for his third career start. In two starts, Alcantara has given up seven runs on 12 hits including two homers over 8.2 innings.

Texas starter Cole Hamels was charged with all six runs on seven hits including a pair of long balls over six innings before three relievers tossed scoreless baseball. The Rangers racked up 12 hits and walked three times with Carlos Gomez cracking a two run homer while Jonathan Lucroy drove in two more. Yu Darvish will be on the bump to face the Athletics in search of consecutive victories. Darvish comes off a 2-1 win at the Angels with the lone run scoring on three hits in 6.2 frames.
