The Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians end their series at Progressive Field on Sunday.
The Detroit Tigers are not going to win the American League Central and their Wild Card hopes aren’t on solid ground. The ground is still shaky with the Tigers losing nine of eleven following a 1-0, ten inning defeat at Cleveland. Detroit starter Justin Verlander tossed seven scoreless frames with Justin Wilson giving up a 10th inning run to absorb the loss. The Tigers were held to four hits and three walks with Miguel Cabrera logging two hits and a walk while JD Martinez walked and singled. The Tigers end the series at Cleveland with Daniel Norris on the hill on Sunday. Norris comes off a 4-2 win versus Minnesota with both rubs plated on solo homers over 6.1 innings.

The over is 8-2 in Detroit’s last 10 road games and the under is 11-4-1 in their last 16 Sunday games while the over is 7-2 in Norris' last 9 road starts. The under is 7-1-1 in Cleveland’s last 9 Sunday games and the over is 7-2 in their last 9 home games while the Indians are 36-15 in their last 51 home games. The over is 8-0 in Bauer’s last 8 starts versus Detroit while going 24-4 in the last 28 meetings in Cleveland. I expect more from the bats Sunday so perhaps the over…
