The Chicago Cubs look to build on yet another victory at Wrigley Field last night as they host the Cincinnati Reds once again on Wednesday.
The Reds look to shake out of their slump and get back in the win column on Wednesday night as they face off against the MLB leading Cubs at Wrigley Field as they will send Robert Stephenson to the mound to face off against John Lackey. The Reds have had a tough go this season as they are a team in transition with a number of key pieces over the last couple of seasons no longer with the team, but with Adam Duvall, Joey Votto, and a bunch of pitching prospects in the lineup they are going to be a better group next season, especially if they can add a piece or two in the offseason. Cincy is 5-5 in their last 10 games but are still well under the .500 mark and will be in tough once again here as the Cubs continue to push towards the number one overall seed in the National League.

The Cubs grabbed another win at home yesterday against these Reds and will be out for more here with Lackey on the hill in what has been a dream season for Chicago who look as good as ever in their pursuit of a World Series crown. Chicago is loaded across the board with a number of top end pitchers, a handful of dynamic play makers, and a ton of pop in their bats and combine that with one of the best managers in baseball and everything looks the part of a championship season but a tough path to getting there surely awaits.
The Reds are 1-5 in their last six overall, 0-4 in their last four Wednesday games, and 1-7 in their last eight games during game three of a series while the Cubs are 8-1 in their last nine Wednesday games, 36-15 in their last 51 overall, and 30-9 in their last 39 games against a righty. The Cubs are on a roll and there is no stopping them right now as they should cruise to another win.
