The desperate Baltimore Orioles need a win against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Arizona Diamondbacks need to revamp their lineup in order to compete in the National League West. The Diamondbacks had won three of four before both their arms and bats struggled in a 6-1 defeat at Baltimore on Saturday. Snakes starter Robbie Ray was charged with five runs (four earned) over 3.2 frames to get the loss. The D-Backs were held to seven hits with Brandon Drury doubling in Paul Goldschmidt. Rookie Braden Shipley takes the hill Saturday for the first time against the Orioles. Shipley absorbed a 3-2 loss last time out at San Diego where he was charged with all three runs in four innings.

The Baltimore Orioles are still alive for the American League East title but their arms and bats haven’t been producing. The Orioles have won back to back contests behind contributions from both the arms and bats. O’s starter Wade Miley finally did well with the lone run scoring on seven hits while striking out eleven through 8.2 innings. Baltimore logged nine hits and walked four times with Trey Mancini and Mark Trumbo going solo while Chris Davis drove in a pair. The Orioles hand the ball to Dylan Bundy hoping he can right a sinking ship. Bundy looked good early on but has been hit hard in five of his last seven starts when the Orioles need wins.
The over is 9-1 in Arizona’s last 10 Sunday games and Arizona are 7-19 in their last 26 interleague games. Baltimore are 7-2 in their last 9 Sunday games and the under is 44-15-1 in Baltimore’s last 60 on grass while the Orioles are 19-7 in their last 26 interleague games. The over is 7-2-1 in the last 10 meetings. Terrible pitching so I’ll go with the better team…
