The Philadelphia Phillies visit Turner Field to open a three game set with the Atlanta Braves Tuesday
The Philadelphia Phillies have been leaning on their arms to carry them the majority of the time in 2016. That was far from the case Sunday in a 17-0 loss at the Mets where all six pitchers used gave up runs.. Phils starter Jake Thompson fell to 3-6 with three runs plated on five hits and three base on balls before the next five hurlers allowed 14 runs. Philadelphia was held to three hits and a pair of base on balls so nothing went favorably. Jerad Eickhoff opens the series at Atlanta on Tuesday looking for back to back wins. Eickhoff defeated the White Sox 8-3 last time out with all three runs plated on solo homers over seven innings.
