The Colorado Rockies visit AT&T for the last time to face the San Francisco Giants Tuesday.
The Colorado Rockies have been in a little bit of a funk this past week although they could have won every game for two weeks and still not made the playoffs. The Rockies have lost six of seven after dropping a 4-3 decision at the Dodgers on Sunday. Colorado starter Tyler Anderson allowed a pair of runs over 6.1 frames before Adam Ottavino and Boone Logan gave up a run each. The Rockies logged eight hits and two walks with David Dahl going solo and Dustin Gameau doubling in Christian Adames. Rookie German Marquez makes his second start looking for another victory. Marquez won his major league debut 11-1 versus St. Louis with a run scoring on four hits over five innings.

The San Francisco Giants owned the best record in baseball but have slowly fallen to the point where they are struggling to secure a Wild Card. The Giants are coming off of a 4-3 defeat at San Diego where the offense was silent and the pitching couldn’t win on their own. SF starter Ty Blach gave up two runs over three innings with Cory Gearrin allowing a 7th inning run for the loss. San Francisco posted seven hits and three walks with Buster Posey driving in two while Kelby Tomlinson knocked in another. Left hander Matt Moore hopes to get back in he win column when he opposes the Rockies or the second time. Moore was hit hard last time out in a 9-3 loss at the Dodgers with six runs scoring on seven hits in an inning.
The Colorado Rockies are 5-18 in their last 23 road games and San Francisco are 3-9 in their last 12 on grass. Moore was hammered by Colorado in his only meeting and I’m hoping he bounces back…
