The Pittsburgh Pirates have seen their string of playoff appearances end and will have to figure out the reason in the offseason. Pitt managed eight hits and eight walks with Andrew McCutchen knocking in two while Gregory Polanco drove in another. Pittsburgh turns to rookie Jameson Taillon for his second start against the Pirates. Taillon comes off a 6-5 win (ND) versus the Nationals where he gave up three runs in five frames.
